Masaaki Izawa

Masaaki (Masa) Izawa serves as Executive Officer, International Business at MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, Inc., with responsibility for the Americas business, and Chief Executive Officer of MSIG Holdings (U.S.A.). He is responsible for advancing the company’s strategic growth across the Americas and strengthening collaboration throughout MS&AD’s global network.

Mr. Izawa brings more than 30 years of insurance industry experience spanning strategy, international business development, and operations. Prior to his current role, he served as Executive Vice President of MSIG Holdings (U.S.A.), where he worked alongside Peter McKenna to help transform the U.S. business into today’s MSIG USA.

Throughout his career, Mr. Izawa has held leadership positions across Japan, Europe, and the United States. He spent six years in Germany developing local and Japanese corporate business operations and later held a leadership role within MSI’s International Business Department, where he was responsible for international strategy and planning. He has also played a key role in several strategic transactions and integrations across the MS&AD group, including MS Amlin, MS First Capital, and MS Transverse.

Mr. Izawa holds a degree in Economics from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan.
