Dennis Marvin

Dennis Marvin is Head of Marine at MSIG USA, bringing nearly five decades of global marine insurance experience across underwriting, claims, and risk management.

Dennis has deep expertise across ocean marine, inland marine, cargo, hull, marine liability, and infrastructure project business, with a track record of building profitable portfolios and scaling international operations.

Prior to joining MSIG USA, Dennis served as Chief Technical Underwriter for Global Marine at AIG where he led a $2.0 billion global portfolio spanning more than 35 countries. He also held senior leadership roles at Markel and Fireman’s Fund/Allianz, where he played a key role in establishing and growing marine business in the U.S. and internationally.

Dennis is widely recognized in the marine insurance community, having served in leadership roles with the American Institute of Marine Underwriters (AIMU) and the International Union of Marine Insurers (IUMI). He is known for his technical expertise, market insight, and ability to align underwriting strategy with emerging risk dynamics.
